Well then what should i do for my hamster i am going to get? I am all the way up here in Oregon. So….
I run Haven for Hamsters in Albuquerque and I create my own food for my hamsters. I get seeds, nuts and grains and feed that to them. It may take awhile for your guy to start eating it because there is no sweetener or honey on it. But at least I know what is in it. I give them soy nuts, split peas, millet, dried corn, flax seed, oats, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, peanuts, and a little puffed rice for fun. Make sure the seeds and nuts are salt free and not raw. The oats are just for fiber and good digestion. I also give them a little bit of fruit and vegetables once a day. Not a lot but a bite of watermelon, squash, zucchini, cucumber, green pepper, etc. This is their snack they get after their exercise.
